Every road leads to Rome
Despite of that old frase, I am not going to recommend driving in Rome, it could be a devastating experience for anyone, besides parking space is out of the question, you are never going to make it.
It is not that big, so it´s better and faster (due to the traffic jams) and don´t forget safer to walk throw the city, or use the public transportation but be carefull with your personal things in the crowd.
Once there you can´t miss the coliseum and the Pantheon.
The Tiber River runs through Rome. On the west side is the Trastevere neighborhood and the Vatican, home to the Sixtine Chapel,an eclectic museum collection, and the Pope. Other important sights include the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, countless churches, temples, fountains and obelisks, museums and art galleries, and monuments. The choices are unlimited so you will need a good map and this year travel guide so you won´t miss a thing :)
Once in Rome.... ;)
