The Tower of Pisa

PisaThe Leaning Tower of Pisa is the bell tower or campanile of the Cathedral, situated behind the building. The foundation started to shift due to loose substrate and poor laid foundation, back in 1173. It is 186 feet high with 294 steps. The most famous legend of this tower is the one that tells that Galileo Galilei went up to the tower and dropped 2 cannon balls of different masses, to demonstrate his theory that the descending speed was independent of the mass.
