Torre delle Millizie

Torre_delle_milizieIt is a tower in Rome annexed to the Trajan´s Market, and is one of the main medieval monuments of the city. It belonged to a series of fortified buildings, and an earthquake in 1348 caused the crumbling of the upper floor and some of the structure. also know as Nero´s Tower, for a tradition that says that Nero watched the fire of Rome from this tower.
