Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice

Maria_ausiliatrice_lBuilt between 1865 and 1868 according to the desire of Don Giovanni Bosco, whose remains rest in an internal chapel of the church. The facade is late-renaissance with the statue of the protective martyrs of the city. A great dome dominates the centre with a completely golden statue of the Madonna. The church's structure is shapped as a Latin cross and the interior is decorated with magnificent marble.
